Some of this software is free. Some isn't.

I just feel the need to tell you about it.

Mountain Utilities - BC Manager

BC Manager, created by Mark van den Berg of Mountain Utilities, is the only fully functional editor for the Behringer BCF2000/BCR2000. It lets you update MIDI mappings across all modes—something Behringer’s own software never properly supported and hasn’t updated in decades. If you use these controllers, this tool is essentially mandatory

JiKay - Session Notes

A simple Max for Live device that acts as an embedded notepad within an Ableton Live set. Very useful when making groups and racks, so you can have notes on how to dial in specifics, and build your understanding of differenmt tools and effects.

Andrew Norris - Live Scratcher

Make those "whicka-whicka-scriggety-scratch" sounds you love, in Ableton Live! I've been wanting somethign like this for a long time, and you probably have too!

Isotonik - LaunchSync

LaunchSync enables users to link MIDI controllers (with MIDI remote scripts) together in Ableton Live. Whether you're using a Lunchpad, a Push, an APC, or another controller, this lets users to link their session boxes together. Whether mirroring or offsetting each, this allows each controller in use can be syncronized to the others.

WindowTop (darkmode for all Windows apps)

WindowTop lets users apply theming to applications, like focring dark mode. One great example is if you're using iTunes on Windows, it does not match system settings for darkmode, and this is a decent little workaround. Other examples could include Notepad for Windows 10 and lower, since darkmode on Notepad is dark-mode enabled for Win 11 and up, only. - It also enables users glass and transparency window theming, as well always on top/pin to top settings.

Stardock - Multiplicity

Multiplicity lets you control multiple computers with a single keyboard and mouse, seamlessly sliding between them like extended monitors. Rather than getting a KVM hardware to switch your mouse and keyboard, Multiplicity has a decent price point in comparison, and a few extra features, like clipboard sharing and audio sharing.

Remotify - Control Surface Studio

Control Surface is a literal game changer for folks using MIDI controllers with Ableton live. Some of the options can get quite advanced, but getting started is actuall a breeze, and the support available through the official documentation and forms is a great troubleshooting resource to work out any knowledge gaps. - This software enables users to create MIDI remote scripts for any MIDI device, for Ableton Live. - Q: Why would that be necessary? A: Dynamic control that persists in all Ableton Live sets, rather than MIDI mapping your controllers for each set.
