Rather than tracking down where the scripts should go, this application makes it easy to select your custom MIDI remote scripts, folders or ZIP files, and import them to the correct location for your version of Ableton Live
Each time you update Ableton Live (especially frequent with Beta), it overwrites all existing folders of the same version (including the MIDI Remote Scripts folders). If you have the MIDI remote scripts backed up somewhere, or are able to redownload them, reinstalling is a breeze.
The following instructions are provided by Ableton. Users often get confused of what is the appropriate installation directory, since the site lists "third party, custom, and user" remote scripts differently. (These will all lead you down a erroneous path.)
